What is a Billion Dollars?

I got an email about government spending (thanks Nancy!)-- about how lightly we toss around the word "billion." It's a number so big that we can't really envision it, so it becomes unreal- as if we're dealing with Monopoly money. So for example -- I read that in 2006 we were spending two billion a week in Iraq (I couldn't find current number readily.. so sue me.) Two billion a week at one point. That meant that by Thursday morning we had spent a billion. What would that look like?
